The Maven 88 CTI is a new ski for the 2026 winter, and Atomic crushed it with this one. We've always been fans of the Maven family, but past versions have generally felt limited when skied next to other options in the category. The performance ceiling was lower than it should've been. The 88 CTI successfully addresses these issues, increasing the potential use cases and widening the range of skiers it makes sense for. This narrow all-mountain ski can rip up groomers and stay confident at speed but doesn't make you work too hard when you're taking things a little more mellow. It has a lively feeling that makes getting into and releasing from a turn effortless. That lively feeling also makes it blast beyond the frontside of the mountain because the ski pivots quick. 

The secret behind why the ski is so good is in Atomic's CTI technology. CTI is simply Carbon and Titanal (metal). The ski is designed with a strategic blend of metal and carbon to give it power without adding too much material and making it feel damp or dead. The result is a very versatile ski. A ski that can be pushed on a groomer but isn't going to feel sluggish in the bumps and trees. It strikes a great balance of confidence without being too demanding. Newer skiers will appreciate easy turn initiation and maneuverability, while more advanced skiers will like how compliant it feels. It's not a super powerful ski, so if high-speed stability is your only priority, it might not be for you. For those not planning on winning any races soon, the new Maven will have plenty of confidence. It's just looking to get more adventurous than bell-to-bell carving laps.
