Jones Hovercraft 2.0 Snowboard 2027

The Jones Hovercraft is a legacy board. In its 14 years, the board has garnered a cult classic kind of vibe across snowboarding, and for the first time, it was redesigned entirely a couple of seasons ago. Don’t worry, the updated board maintains the personality and DNA that helped it generate undying devotion from so many riders. It’s just been updated using new technology to build further on its performance capabilities.

The Hovercraft 2.0 still has a directional shape with a floaty nose, compact tail, a long side-cut, and a mid-stiff flex pattern. Basically, it’s still designed for all-mountain rippers who like a surfy board because it’s built for haulin’ a**, pow slashing, crud busting, and weaving through trees. Significant updates on the Hovercraft 2.0 include 12mm of spoon bevel in the nose and a 3D hull in the tail. What’s this jargon mean? The board is going to feel more energetic. It’s going to be easier to initiate a turn with the nose, and there will be less friction and more glide in the tail, making the board feel less damp and more maneuverable. Not only does this make the board easier to turn, but it’s also going to reduce the work your legs have to do, and ultimately make your days longer.

If the way the board rides doesn’t have you hyped enough, get this. The new version of the Hovercraft is built using recycled materials sourced from old snowboards. By using warranty boards and retired boards, Jones repurposes their components into brand-new parts. From the base, sidewalls, and edges, to the top sheet, the whole board is recycled, and that’s pretty rad.
