Last season, Nordica put a BOA dial on one of their best boots, not to mention one of the best boots period. This season they added another one on the cuff of the boot to help improve performance and wrapping around the lower leg. The final result is pretty dang exciting. With the SpeedMachine specifically, the BOA system is a plus because the buckle version always fit pretty aggressively in the in-step, putting the boot off the table for many higher-instep skiers. The BOA version still fits precisely in that area but is noticeably more generous in that area. Aside from the new closure system, the boot remains the same more or less.

It's a boot that can drive any ski no problem and is noticeably more powerful laterally. Rolling edge to edge is a more immediate feeling than other 130's. Compared to the other 130 boots we carry, the SpeedMachine is more forgiving in forward flex but doesn't lack performance potential, it's just a bit easier to bend and lean into.
