The Lange Shadow 110 is a mid-volume boot built for beginner-intermediate skiers who are progressing out of rentals or away from entry-level retail boots, but it also works for more experienced skiers who don't need or want to be in a stiffer flexing ski boot. The Shadow 110 can drive most recreational skis with ease, however, it may stutter a bit if you pair it with an immensely powerful ski; but that's not what the boot was designed to drive. The Shadow 110 has a forgiving flex pattern that allows less experienced to continue to progress without the boot reacting negatively to imperfect skier input. The new "Suspension Blade" on the spine of the Shadow 110 is a new way of connecting the upper cuff to the lower shell. Without getting into technical jargon, this "Blade" on the back of the boot provides a responsive feel while also making the top portion of the flex pattern forgiving, helping with rebound, and helping to transmit power to the ski. All this means is the boot is helping you to feel like a stronger skier and it helping to make your ski day a little less work... we're here for it.
